Donnafugata Tancredi is a wine produced by the famous Sicilian winery Donnafugata with Nero d'Avola, Cabernet Sauvignon, Tannant and other grapes grown in the beautiful Contessa Entellina estate. The soils are composed by clay with limestone that allows the grapes to synthesize a good amount of pholiphenols and aromas. The grapes are manually harvested and taken to the winery for crushing, fermentation with maceration has a variable duration and temperature depending on the variety as each cultivar is vinified and aged separately, only at a later time they will be blended. After alcoholic fermentation, the wines that compose Donnafugata Tancredi are separated from the skins and placed in aging in French oak barrels for 14 months after which the various wines are blended according to the best balance and bottled. Donnafugata Tancredi remains for 30 months in bottle before being released on the market.
