Fregola Sarda Corona is an artisan product of Renzo Corona that has revaluated and enhanced this type of ancient pasta for a decade. The name Fregola, also called Fregula or Freola, has Latin origins in fact derives from the Latin word ferculum" which means crumb. The durum wheat semolina is processed by hand because by means of the circular rubbing movement which is done with the hands, balls are obtained which, before becoming Fregola, must be roasted in the oven for about fifteen minutes.
