Rottensteiner Gewurztraminer is the wine produced from Gewurztraminer grapes from the winery Hans Rottensteiner in Bolzano. The grapes are grown in mountain vineyards at an altitude of up to 500 m above sea level. The Gewurztraminer grapes are harvested manually when they are perfectly ripe and taken to the winery for soft pressing, the musts ferment in temperature controlled steel tanks at a temperature around 15°C this is to allow the yeast to enhance the already excellent aromatic potential of the grapes.
