Rocca delle Macie is one of the most important wineries of Tuscany and of the Italian wine scene. The headquarters is in Castellina in Chianti (Si) on the fantastic hills of the Chianti Classico area. The owner is Italo Zingarelli, film producer in 1973, crowned his dream and bought the estate Le Macie which counted 85 hectares of land two which were planted with vineyards. A few years later the first bottle was produced: Rocca delle Macie history continues to 1985, the year when Sergio Zingarelli son of Italo takes the company's reins which had grown considerably thanks to the attention and passion for territory that Italo had transmitted to their children. Today Rocca delle Macie owns 600 Ha of vineyards and manage various estates which then Sergio decided to buy by investing in different terroris of Tuscany: St. Alfonso, Fizzano and Tavolelle in the Chianti Classico area, Campomaccione and Casamaria in Maremma in the area of Morellino di Scansano.
