Ritasso Toscana Urlari

Ritasso Sangiovese IGT Urlari is a wine produced by the Urlari winery in Riparbella, Tuscany. The name Ritasso comes from a red wine called Ritasso that flows near the Sangiovese vineyard from which the Ritasso Sangiovese IGT Urlari wine is derived. Once the grapes have reached perfect ripeness, they are destemmed and placed to ferment in steel containers at controlled temperature. After about 15 days of fermentation the Ritasso Sangiovese IGT Urlari wine is placed in French oak barriques for 12 months before blending and bottling. Ritasso Sangiovese IGT Urlari rests in bottles for 6 months before entering the market.
