Abruzzo is a region with a historic wine-growing tradition, the origins of viticulture in Abruzzo are to be found in the activity of the ancient Etruscans, continuing in Roman times and so far to the present day. The Abruzzo wines are famous worldwide thanks to their unquestionable quality, the most representative grape variety is without a doubt the Montepulciano d'Abruzzo which finds the ideal cultivation environment on the fantastic hills of the Appennino of Abruzzo in the center of Italy.
