Vigna Dorata is a winery that produces the famous Franciacorta wine. Vigilio Rocco founded Vigna Dorata in 1989 and called that because the Chardonnay vineyard that you meet going up the road to get to the winery produces gold color grapes. The estate is made by 6 hectares divided in Chardonnay, Pinot Noir for Franciacorta and white wines and Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Nebbiolo for the production of red. The type of wine which occupies more than 70% of the production is the Franciacorta in its types, satèn, Rosé, Brut and Extra Brut. Today Vigna Dorata manages 6 hectares of vineyard producing about 70,000 bottles.
