Planeta Chardonnay Menfi DOC

Planeta Chardonnay is the symbol of the Sicilian wine renaissance. With this 100% Chardonnay Planeta winery wanted to demonstrate the potential of a land like Sicily in producing a high quality wine as well as Planeta Chardonnay. The Chardonnay grapes grown in the magnificent vineyards Marocoli and Ulmo and are are manually harvested around the beginning of September and taken to the cellar for gentle pressing. The musts are made clear only with the use of cold and inoculated with selected yeasts, Planeta Chardonnay fermentation takes place in French oak barrels at a temperature of about 18 ° C, followed by aging in barrels with batonages performed every 10 days. After a few months barrels are blended and Planeta Chardonnay is bottled.
