The tomato passata made with Piennolo del Vesuvio's cherry tomatoes DOP by Sapori Vesuviani is a tribute to this land; tasty, sweet, persistent, this sauce is excellent to flavour and enrich adding a unique taste to pasta, pizza and all those dishes with tomato sauce. The sauce made with the Piennolo's cherry tomatoes is not the classic tomato sauce; these cherry tomatoes are unique, a burst with taste, thanks to the land they grow in, which is volcanic, rich in mineral salts like calcium, phosphorus and potassium, able to make every vegetable tastier.

How it's made The Piennolo's tomato passata is made by picking the tomatoes when fully ripened at a weight of 25g. Paying attention not to damage them, the tomatoes are washed, cut in half and their seeds removed. Afterwards they are cooked and then put in a specific machine that squeezes them releasing the pureed tomatoes. Salt and basil are then added. Bottling and sterilization hen takes place.
