Molino a Vento Syrah Orestiadi is a wine produced with 100% Syrah grapes grown in Sicily in the Gibellina area. The hills of this area are between 100 and 150 m asl and has alluvial soils that allow the roots to develop deeply, thus absorbing minerals and nutrients for the plant. The Syrah grapes are harvested at phenolic ripeness and brought to the cellar for pressing, fermentation with maceration lasts for about 12-15 days at a temperature between 25-30 ° C. During this period, pump-over and delestage are daily repeated in order to allow Syrah Molino a Vento to enrich the aromatic and coloring substances present in the skins. After fermentation Molino a Vento Syrah Orestiadi is separated from the skins and aged in French oak barrels for 3-4 months before assembling and bottling.
