Nebbiolo Langhe DOC La Spinetta

Nebbiolo Langhe DOC La Spinetta is a wine produced with Nebbiolo grapes from the La Spinetta winery in Piedmont. The Nebbiolo that is used to produce this wine comes from the Barbaresco cru Starderi" from plants that are about 20-25 years old. The Nebbiolo grapes are harvested manually around the middle of the month of October and brought to the winery for vinification. After de-stemming the bunches of Nebbiolo are conveyed into steel vats for alcoholic fermentation which takes place at a temperature of about 25-28 ° C for 10 days during which frequent pumping over and delastages allow the diffusion of the polyphenolic and aromatic compounds from the skins to the wine. Subsequently the Langhe DOC Nebbiolo La Spinetta is separated from the skins and aged in oak barrels of second passage for 12 months before the final blend and being bottled.
