Falesco Montiano is the flagship wine of Falesco winery, hailed from the beginning as one of the greatest and most innovative Italian red wines, it is the result of a blend of Merlot grapes planted by plant breeders from Montpellier in a traditionally suited to white grape varieties area. Merlot grapes are harvested in perfect phenolic ripeness and brought to the winery for vinification, Merlot is fermented with maceration for 15 days to seek a more concentrated wine. Then the Falesco Montiano is separated from the skins and place in aging in Allier French oak barrels for 12 months before blending and bottling.
