Immerse yourself in the refined, deep flavor of Monte Alto Franciacorta rosé, a distinctive product of the renowned Monte Alto winery located in Clusane, in the heart of the Franciacorta wine region on the shores of Lake Iseo. This fine wine comes from vineyards located on the northeastern slope of Monte Alto, which directly overlooks the lake. This privileged location, along with limestone soils and a unique microclimate, makes the area ideal for growing Pinot Noir. Monte Alto Franciacorta Extra rosé was created with the intention of combining the depth and structure of Pinot Noir while fully expressing the character of the terroir of origin. Grapes are hand-picked in early September and brought to the winery for gentle pressing. The resulting musts are then divided between first and second pressings and fermented partly in steel and partly in third- and fourth-passage wood. After fermentation, the Franciacorta wines are left to age on the lees until the spring following the harvest, before being blended and bottled with the addition of sugar and yeast to allow the second fermentation inside the bottle, which will give rise to the bubbles. After resting for at least 19 months in the bottle, Monte Alto Franciacorta rosé is disgorged and made available on the market, ready to delight the palate of wine lovers with its unique qualities.
