Montepulciano d'Abruzzo DOC Marina Cvetic Masciarelli

The Montepulciano d'Abruzzo Marina Cvetic is a selection of the best Montepulciano vineyards of the estate, which are also the oldest ones and with the ideal exposure. They are located near the natural wood that acts as a natural barrier for bugs and wind which can damage the grapes. Around the middle of October, the Montepulciano is hand-harvested and brought to the winery for the de-stemming. The skins and the must are brought to temperature controlled steel tanks for the alcoholic fermentation with maceration that lasts around 15 days at temperatures which reach 28°C. Afterward the wine is separated from the skins and put in barriques for 12-months ageing during which the tannins of the Montepulciano become more delicate and well-balanced with the structure of the wine. After this period of time, blending and bottling take place. After a few months of bottle ageing the Montepulciano d'Abruzzo Marina Cvetic Masciarelli is ready to be released.
