La Braccesca vino Nobile di Montepulciano is a wine produced mostly with Prugnolo Gentile" (Sangiovese) grapes grown in the historic Braccesca farm in Montepulciano in Tuscany. This estate is owned by the Antinori family who has been producing wines for generations in Tuscany and around the world. The grapes of Prugnolo Gentile (Sangiovese) are harvested and taken to the winery around the beginning of October and after the pressing alcoholic fermentation begins in thermocontrolled stainless steel tanks. After about 10 days of maceration during which pump over and delestage are repeated the wine that will become Braccesca Vino Nobile di Montepulciano is separated from the skins and placed in large barrels for the aging of about 12 months after which barrels are blended and Braccesca Vino Nobile di Montepulciano is bottled after 18 months from harvest.
