Primitivo - Rocca delle Macìe

Primitivo wine originates from Apulia, in this splendid land are born wines with a particular and unique profile: Primitivo wine. Primitivo is a variety called precocious (because it ripens in advance of others) and therefore from this aspect that the name is born, it is a widespread vine a little in all of southern Italy but finds its ideal environment in Puglia. Very famous are the wines produced in the northern area of Salento, the Primitivo di Manduria wines or, further south, the Primitivo del Salento. In the past this variety was used as a blending wine because it produces very colorful wines and a remarkable alcohol content while only recently has it been rediscovered and used to produce fine wines in Apulia region.
