Chianti Classico DOCG Riserva Nera Rocca delle Macìe

Chianti Classico Riserva Rocca delle Macie is a selection of the best vineyards and grapes of the Tenuta Le Macìe estate in Castellina in Chianti. After a careful selection in the vineyard, the grapes are hand-harvested and brought to the winery for the vinification. After de-stemming, the pressed must is put in steel tanks for the alcoholic fermentation at controlled temperature. This process lasts around 15 days at a temperature of 28°C after which the wine is separated from the skins and put in 35-hl French oak barrels for two years. After blending and bottling the wine rests in the bottle for at least 3 months before its release.
