Brunello di Montalcino Silvio Nardi is a wine made of 100% with the Sangiovese of Montalcino, the vineyards from which this grape are in the town of Montalcino at an average altitude of about 350 meters above sea level. In the third week of September Sangiovese is manually harvested, destemmed and placed in thermo-controlled stainless steel containers for alcoholic fermentation which lasts for about 20 days at a temperature of about 30 ° C. Then the wine is separated from the skins and placed in barriques for one year after which the Brunello refines and softens its tannins that will become perfect after a further year of service in large barrels of Slavonian oak. This is followed by the blend of the different crus and the blend of refinement continues in steel until bottling. Before marketing the wine remains in the bottle for at least six months.
