Barbera d'Asti DOCG Cà di Pian The Spinetta is a wine produced with Barbera grapes grown in the town of Castagnole and Costigliole d'Asti in young vineyards south exposed. The Barbera grapes are manually harvested and brought to the winery for fermentation which takes place in rotofermenters at a controlled temperature for about 6-7 days. After the alcoholic fermentation, the Barbera d'Asti DOCG Cà di Pian La Spinetta wine is separated from the skins and aged in French oak barrels of first passage where it undergoes to malolactic fermentation. After 12 months the wines that make up Barbera d'Asti DOCG Cà di Pian La Spinetta are blended in steel and bottled after 6 months.
