Barbera d'Alba Andrea Oberto is a wine made with Barbera grapes, a variety that in the right vintages gives great satisfaction to the growers. The grapes are manually harvested in late September and taken to the cellar for destemming, so the grapes are placed in stainless steel tanks for the alcoholic fermentation which lasts about 10 days during which numerous pump over are performed for the extraction of color and the aromas from the skins. After this phase Barbera d'Alba Andrea Oberto is separated from the skins and placed in stainless steel tanks for malolactic fermentation, while 40% of the mass is placed in new oak barrels for 6 months prior to blending and bottling.
