Barbera d'Alba Giada Andrea Oberto is a wine that comes from a selection of the best Barbera grapes from the Andrea Oberto winery in La Morra in the Langhe wine area. This Barbera is precisely a selection since the yield per plant does not exceed 1 kg so all the substances produced by the plant during ripening period are concentrated in less bunches. Barbera Giada is harvested when it is a bit overripe and bunches are placed in perforated boxes of 10 kg, once in the cellar Barbera Giada is subjected to a light withering for 24 hours before crushing. The fermentation takes place in stainless steel containers at a controlled temperature of about 34 ° C to facilitate the extraction of valuable compounds from grape skins. The maceration after alcoholic fermentation continues for about 10 days so to produce a very concentrated and structured wine. Barbera d'Alba Giada Oberto is then separated from the skins and placed in French oak barrels for 14 months of ageing before blending, bottling and then resting in the bottle for two months before being released on the market.
