baci di dama are a dry cake originating from the city of Tortona in Piedmont. They were made with typical Piedmontese hazelnuts. Super pan confectionery re-proposes the baci di dama as it once was, using natural ingredients and no added preservatives or colourings. Today, the baci di dama are one of the most popular sweets produced throughout Italy, and are enjoyed at breakfast, with an Italian coffee, after a good cake. They have been part of the Italian confectionery tradition since the 1800s when they were first produced.
