Argiolas
Argiolas vini - FoodExplore
Argiolas is a synonym for 'wine' in Sardinia; the history of the company has very old roots, its founder Antonio Argiolas, born in 1906, decided to plant vines and make wine and year after year purchased one hectare more, reaching the considerable size that boasts today. In the past most of the wine produced by the compmay was sold in tanks in France and in several parts of Italy. Antoni's sons decided to invest in a new change of philosophy of the product and they tried to revolutionize the concept of the company. They began with a new concept of viticulture: vine density has been increased in order to improve the quality of the grapes, reducing the production for each plant and the wines labelled Argiolas released on the market. That is how Argiolas started being very successful on the international market and today Argiolas is well-known all over the world as synonym of 'Sardinian wine' and pioneer of the vinification of local grapes such as Cannonau and Vermentino. Argiolas owns 235 hectares of vineyards and produces around 2,000,000 bottles.
