Amarone della Valpolicella DOCG Piovesole
TASTING NOTES: The Amarone Pievolese shows a deep ruby colour, almost impossible to see through. On the nose its aromas of small red berries such as blackberry and currant with nuanced of coffee and chocolate are intense. On the mouth it is soft, elegant and envelopes the mouth with its warmth without being to invasive.

Combinations
Amarone Piovesole is a powerful and elegant wine, excellent paired with red meat and gamey dishes, even spiced and elaborate dishes. Since it is characterized by a 15% of non-native grapes, this wine shows different features from the other types of Amarone. One characteristic is its harshness, which is actually soft and elegant but also more intense than other wines of the same vintage. That is why it is great with fat dishes and blue or long-aged cheeses.
